Bar Graphs


Bar Graphs/Bar Charts are one of the most common type of graphs used today. They consist of rectangular bars with different lengths which determine the values they represent.


Bar Graphs are use for potting discontinuous data. Some examples of discontinuous dad include 'Height and weight' or 'shoes size.' If you were to ask a group of people what their shoe size was you would be advised to use a bar graph. Bar graphs come in use when recording information regardless if its continuous or non continuous data.

This is a Bar Graph. Notice that the Unit or measurement is always on the Y axis and the 'thing' is always on the X
