Consecutive Numbers




Definition - Consecutive numbers are integers that are in order without skipping any of them.

There are things such as even and odd consecutive numbers

- Even consecutive numbers are 2, 4, 6 and 8

- Odd consecutive numbers are 1,3,5 and 7



Example - 4, 5 and 6 are consecutive numbers because they follow each other and they are in order.

20, 23 and 24 would not be consecutive numbers because they are not in order.

If you are given a set of numbers such as:

1 8 2 3 9 4

The consecutive numbers would be 1, 2, 3 and 4
